Parking at Children's Hospital
Self-parking for outpatients is $.75 per half hour, up to a maximum of $3 in the Ashley-Rutledge, Jonathan Lucas or Courtenay Drive garage. If parking exceeds two hours, all charges over $3 will be paid by the hospital; but to receive this courtesy the ticket must be validated. Check with reception staff in the area where you receive your care.
Valet parking is available for a fee of $10 (effective July 1) at the entrances of the Ashley River Tower, the Rutledge Tower, and Hollings Cancer Center for patients and families/visitors of patients. Drive your vehicle to the main entrance of any of these buildings for valet service, Monday thru Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., as available.
The MUSC Health Patient Shuttle system provides a free and convenient way for patients to travel between buildings on our downtown campus.
Inpatients' families and visitors may park for $.75 per half hour. The maximum daily rate (up to 24 hours) is $6. To receive the reduced rate, the visitor should provide the patient's last name and room number to the cashier when exiting the parking facility. The cashier will issue a receipt. This will allow unlimited additional exits during the 24-hour period at no charge.
All MUSC public parking locations offer accessible parking. For wheelchair assistance, use a courtesy phone near an elevator or call 843-876-0101 (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday) from your cell phone. South Carolina State law provides that there is no charge for parking in metered or timed facilities for vehicles which display a handicap plate or placard and which are driven by or transporting the handicapped individual. If the handicapped individual is not in the vehicle, the posted parking rate applies.
