Monika Collins 

Monika Collins, MSN, RN

Monika Collins is the ECMO Manager for the pediatric and adult ECMO Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Collins graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and summa cum laude from Walden University with a Master of Science in Nursing. Accomplished in her field, Collins has more than 25 years of experience in critical care and the provision of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support. She has done extensive work within ECMO to include both clinical research and publications, co-authoring a chapter in the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) ECMO training manual, presenting at national and international ECMO conferences, serving as a content expert on the ELSO discussion board, developing rigorous simulation training models, and consulting with ECMO programs across the country for programmatic development. In 2020 and 2021, Collins led the MUSC pediatric and adult ECMO Programs to their individual achievements as ELSO Centers of Excellence in Life Support- Platinum Level Designation. These designations are held by only the top tier of ECMO Programs Internationally.

Alicha Gibbs 

Alicha Gibbs, BSN, RN

Alicha Gibbs is an ECMO Coordinator for the pediatric and adult ECMO Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina. Gibbs is a graduate from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and possesses an excess of 20 years of experience focused in neonatal critical care and ECMO across the life span. As an invited presenter at the national ELSO Conference, Gibbs showcased the work performed by MUSC’s ECMO Programs. In 2020 and 2021, Gibbs helped lead the MUSC pediatric and adult ECMO Programs to become ELSO Centers of Excellence in Life Support – Platinum Level Designation.

Erin Glikes 

Erin Glikes, BSN, CCRN

Erin Glikes is an ECMO Coordinator for the pediatric and adult ECMO Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina. Glikes graduated Magna Cum Laude from American International College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Since 2013, Glikes’ career has been concentrated in the care of critically ill children and adults, subspecializing in extracorporeal therapies such as ECMO and CRRT. In 2020 and 2021, Glikes helped lead the MUSC pediatric and adult ECMO Programs to become ELSO Centers of Excellence in Life Support – Platinum Level Designation.

Jordan Andrews 

Jordan Andrews, BSN, RN

Jordan Andrews is an ECMO Coordinator for the pediatric and adult ECMO Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina. Jordan graduated summa cum laude from MUSC with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Andrews has six years of experience focused on pediatric critical care and ECMO across the life span. In 2020 and 2021, Andrews was a lead ECMO Specialist on the ECMO Team at MUSC, assisting with the programmatic achievement of the ELSO Center of Excellence in Life Support – Platinum Level Designation. Focused upon increased patient safety, Andrews is dedicated to expanding extracorporeal education for staff caring for this unique patient population.
