Guest Services Representatives

MUSC Health Guest Services Representatives strive to exceed the expectations of our patients, their families, visitors, and staff. We offer compassionate support and community resources to enhance the well-being of our patients while supporting the emotional and humanitarian needs of their families.

What We Do

Guest Services Representatives are available to help make the experience at MUSC Health more comfortable for patients and their family members. We are your liaison to the clinical care team and we are here to guide a patient-and family-centered approach to your stay.

Some of the services and information we are able to provide include:

  • Greet patients, families and visitors.
  • Issue badges and help visitors find their way.
  • Assist with hotel reservations at discount rates.
  • Provide information about the hospital.
  • Arrange hospital tours for prenatal wellness/NICU patients and families.
  • Assist with transportation, parking, and directions.
  • Provide information on dining, food delivery services, and local attractions.
Waiting rooms on our hospital floors include:
  • Lockers
  • Computers
  • Free wireless internet access
  • Charging stations for electronic devices

Laundry Facilities

Located on the 2nd through 5th floors, and on floors 8, 9, and 10, this service is provided for Children's Hospital families. Please ask your unit staff for a code to the laundry room and laundry detergent.

Showering Facilities

We have showers available for parents of patients who are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery, and Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit. Comfort kits containing soap, shampoo, and conditioner are available upon request from your child's nurse. The shower room is open 24 hours a day.

Toy & Book Lending Service

Toys and books for patients and their brothers and sisters are available for check-out from the Atrium Toy & Book Lending Libraries. Selected items may be chosen for play and reading in the patient's hospital room. A member of the Child Life staff is available to assist.

Ronald McDonald House

This is a nonprofit “home” away from home for families of very ill children receiving care at the hospital. To qualify, parents must be over 18 years of age and live more than 25 miles away, and the child must be 18 years or younger.
