Child Life Department Holiday Donation Guidelines and Wish List

Thank you for your interest in giving to MUSC Children's Health! Holiday donations for patients and general play programming are managed through the Child Life Department. We appreciate your help to make sure our patients and families have a wonderful holiday season!

Important guidelines we ask you to follow when donating:

• Our patients range in age from newborn to teens. Please consider all ages when gifting.
• All items must be brand new, unwrapped, and in original packaging.
• We are unable to accept large stuffed animals or oversized items, cards (handmade or purchased), candy, food, and youth transportation: bikes, scooters, skateboards, and other riding toys.
• Items should be respectful of all religions, cultures, and belief systems.
• The MUSC wish lists and registries indicate the most needed items.

Ways to Give

Option 1: Drop-Off Items at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital

Please use the wish list and registries as a guide for item selection. Drive-up donation drop-offs take place at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's hospital, at the below dates and times. Volunteers will be there to help unload items. Due to infection prevention guidelines and to respect the privacy of our patients, donors do not hand out gifts directly to patients. We do ensure that your donations will go directly to patients and playrooms.

Drop-Off Dates

• December 6, Friday — 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• December 7, Saturday — 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• December 8, Sunday — 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• December 11, Wednesday — 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• December 12, Thursday — 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• December 14, Saturday — 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• December 15 Sunday — 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

These are our only donation times. All donation drop-offs will take place outside the main entrance.

Option 2: Shop Online & Ship Items

For contactless and virtual donations, two online gift registries are available. We are asking donors to use these options to select and send your holiday gifts. The wish lists & registries reflect our greatest needs and preferred gifts. The shipping address is on file with each registry. Please allow ample time for delivery.

Most Needed Items: Uno cards, Kinetic Sand, Play-Doh, markers, action figures, Lego kits, board games, card games, and board books.

Technology Equipment: Please contact us if interested in purchasing technology equipment for links to specific requests or items compatible with our gaming systems.
