Update

Our 2020 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Champions, twins Xavier and Elijah Jackson, will continue to represent the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital through 2021. CMN Champions spend their year raising money and awareness for children’s hospitals across the country, including MUSC Children’s Health and the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The Jackson family’s year of advocacy was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are excited they will have another opportunity to share their story as our 2021 CMN Champions!

We are proud to recognize Xavier and Elijah Jackson as our 2020 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals Champions for the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. CMN Hospitals raise money and awareness for children’s hospitals across the country, including MUSC Children’s Health and the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The twins will serve as the face of all local CMN Hospitals campaigns throughout the 2020 calendar year.

Xavier and Elijah were born at MUSC Children’s Hospital in November 2016 at only 24-weeks old. They spent over 400 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), and on 7C, pediatric immediate care.

“We are more than appreciative of all the love and care we had and continue to have at MUSC,” said Leslie Jackson, the twin’s mom. “We are thankful for every donor who contributes to the children’s hospital. We are excited to be the new CMN Hospital Champions and to raise money to help children and families like us, who have both long and short hospital stays at the new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. We are ‘what’s possible’ and we want to help MUSC continue to make the impossible possible!”
