Cardiac Catheterization Program

Cardiac catheterization is a non-surgical procedure that is used to diagnose and treat many heart conditions. We are one of the largest and most experienced pediatric and adult congenital catheterization programs in the nation. Our interventionalist perform more than 700 catheterizations each year with outcomes among the best in the country. Performing the latest minimally invasive catheter procedures we can complement, postpone, or even avoid cardiac surgery.

The uses of cardiac catheterization have grown tremendously in recent years. Our catheterization team has been at the forefront of this innovation, continually advancing new, non-surgical ways to treat heart conditions such as stents, valves, and devices to close intracardiac shunts. Our team routinely partners with our cardiac surgeons and when appropriate, we use a multiple specialist approach, which combines surgical and catheter treatments.

Our mission is to provide the highest level of care and achieve the best possible outcomes for every child, whether it’s catheterization, surgery, or a combination of both.
